Oh Lordy no. I did that on the 58 GMC. By the time harvest was over the electric pump were only lasting 3 days (this was the best quality one at O'Reillys - made in USA!). After being stranded at the pit at the elevator I'm not touching an electric with a 10 foot pole.
I did put an electric on my old pickup but I bought a $150 one that racers use. It has held up great but at that price I may as well keep the old truck stock.
