Allan In NE, I recently had to show my SIL and daughter how to hang drywall. They bought a one owner house built in 1970. Owner built the house himself. He wasn't nearly as good as you finishing drywall. They had to re-finish most of it. One room we had to hang 1/4 inch drywall over his work. Turned out great.
The kitchen we moved cabinets, filled in a wall and had a lot of fun. It was a good learning experience for both kids.
As for me, Dr told me in 2004 either get spinal fusion or give up somethings. I hired someone to drywall my last two houses. The only nerve that got pinched was the wallet nerve. Hurt a little paying someone to do something I can do.
Have fun with the drywall dust. Keep it out of your lungs.
