I'd give a couple of people who owe me money exactly what they owe me then before they could stick it in their pockets demand what they owe.
Every bum I know, mostly related, who made terrible life decisions would come out of the wood work. I wouldn't give em a dime. Got one niece who's married to a drunken bum. Wouldn't help her even though she's a good kid unless she dumps the bum. Helping her would only give him more money to drink.
