I agree I have seen just one side stop up and cause the same issue... I inject propane in it if it clears up at cruising speed its the carb...
I would not get my drawers in a wad over the advance if I had to I would just bump the total timing up to max speck and go for a ride... Most will fudge with it till they break it....
