if the pump will work ok when no outlet line is hooked to it, also check to see if the fuel line bends up higher than the carb, then angles down to the carb. had a pump intermittently quit like that, turned out that the high point would occasionally "collect" all the small air bubbles dissolved in the gas and the jiggling would then cause the bubbles to join to form one big bubble at that high point. the pump wasn't powerful enough to pump past that bubble. a form of vapor lock, I guess, but it would do it in any weather. re-bent the fuel line to get rid of that high spot & all was good. heck of a time figuring that one out.
