I would think plastic auger flighting with a stainless core inside a PVC tube would be the cat's meow for fertilizer. Lindell plastics in Odebolt Iowa makes plastic flighting for about anything and they are reasonable on price. I re-flighted my seed auger with a plastic flighting from them for $353.40. The auger has a steel tube but I do have another seed auger that someone made using PVC and steel flighting. It will be getting plastic flighting too but I do know PVC does work for the tube.
