Andy,

My grandpa was on Wake island as a civilian working for Morrison Knutson and he was sent to China to build ships as a slave for the Japanese, so I feel I have some moral authority on this subject. The Japanese Americans that were confined during the war were done so wrongly. Many were second generation who'd never even been to Japan. They lost their homes, farms, and businesses while in the camps. Did they contain German Americans or Italian Americans during WWII?

I'd like to see anyone land a "well aimed" 9mm shot while under fire from a semi-auto or full auto rifle.

Anyone armed with a pistol would be insane to engage an assailant with a large capacity high powered rifle. An intelligent person would shelter in place and only engage if they were engaged first. And they're still likely to die. This is the problem with the "good guy with a gun" scenario. Couple that with the likely chance that The "good guy" will be misidentified by a police officer or other "good guy", the best action is to hide and use the pistol as a last resort self-defense.

The NRA is a money raising operation, nothing more, nothing less. The absolute worst thing that could ever happen to them is they get what they want. This would be a disaster for them as no one would give them money anymore. This is also why their goals are so hard-line and extreme. This is also why they only work with sportsman's clubs that make membership mandatory. More members, more people to shake down for money every time a politician dares breathe the words "gun" and "control" is the same sentence. NRA members - do you know how much money they pay Wayne LaPierre? I am a gun owner, but will never give a dime to the NRA.
