I don't have a picture of it, but on the west side of my small barn, the grade was slightly higher than the floor. I dug down and add a womanized 2x4 to the skirting below the bottom of the siding the add a 2x8 to that to get the side 4" higher than than the bottom of the siding. This allowed me to slope away from the bldg for 2 feet on that side. I put plastic and egg rock on top of the dirt and it hasn't leaked in 28 years. Did something similar at my neighbors when he extended his barn 4 years ago. In a heavy rain, he has a river running along side his with on water inside. Positive drainage away from the barn/shop will solve your problem even if you have to get creative to obtain it.
