We have an 01 with the gas engine. Looks to be the same truck otherwise. I still think that is the smoothest riding pickup I have ever been in. It has 198,000 miles on it now and has been relegated to chore status but for many years before the dually came along it was worked just like a dually. That poor thing pulled lots of weight on the gooseneck and only asked for gas in return. Lots of it. Lots.
I'd still get in it and drive across the country. Watch those rocker panels. Boy are they like paper. I had the ones on this one replaced about five years ago. They will get done again this winter.
