A week ago I was over a pretty good chunk of east central Kansas and there were 10's of thousands of acres of beans still in the field..The JD combine pictured and another one were working on some huge bean fields just west of Richmond,KS..The wheat picture was taken in mid July 1/4th mile from my house...Needless to say it never got planted to beans..
Here in extreme western Missouri there were only about 8 days fit for planting in all of April,May,and June...Lots of places had 25-30 inches of rain in that period.....Much wheat was still bering cut on July 15th..Both early and double crop beans were planted all thru July in my area with some not quitting until July 25th or later....Some took prevented planting....Thats why bean harvest is running so late in Kansas and Missouri..
