PTO on AC WD45 is transmission driven. The secondary hand clutch is to a axle clutch- disengage the one axle, the tranny shaft spins yet and the 'free' axle spins to clutch-but not to wheel- but the 'solid' axle doesn't move when setting while PTO does spin off the tranny shaft. Quick adaption for the design time to get a in effect more or less 'Live' PTO. Some minor advantage for some use- a reverse PTO that can be helpful in clearing a fouled with commodity/jammed implement. Uncle liked his WD45 PTO compared to IHC M and H I grew up running- did help some on baler. RN.
