I've been an android user on phone and tablet all along. Have had a couple Asus Tablets with transformer keyboards. Folds up nice... work well with my various Motorola and Samsung phones...
But my wife loves her iPhone and iPad and iPad mini and my daughters iPod... and they just don't play well together. Cant share calendars, music, sometimes texting is weird between us...
Anyway I am now in the transition mode...I have a new IPhone, which now works great, but I still have the Asus Tablet which I am using right now. When this dies I will probably make the transition to an IPad.
The moral of the story is get what works with your wifes devices. Each system is good, just pick one and stick with it. I tend to find mid priced products $350 - $550 are adequate for me and my daily uses.
