99 times out of 100 I show up with cash and a trailer. I have already talked via email or phone with the seller and know the price is fair. Once I get there and actually look it over I then either pay or make a counter offer and if not accepted I drive away. Cost me a little gas but far cheaper than getting beat on an item and I never wind up with something getting sold out from under me.
I did have a deal on an AC C. Paid for it. My BIL had it. Right after I paid for it he called me. The guy he bought it from had stolen it from his grandmother and she wanted it back. So I'm waiting for the BIL to give me my 300 back.
