In the mean time, we are busy cutting more firewood.
I use the JD to snake into the woods and haul the wood out to my trailer which is 5' x 10'. We have more hardwood than pasture. With that, every year the wind, ice and snow bring down a fresh crop of trees to cut. Rarely if ever cut a green tree. The JD and carry-all is really handy for getting through and into the woods. We lower the carry-all to make it easy to load and raise it up over the side of the trailer sometimes when transferring it to the trailer.
All in all - we cut and burn about 7 cords a year. Two wood stoves going and hopefully no baseboard heat.
