Using that hose for restoring pump prime may work but unlikely. Beware if you try what I described with air pressure with this hose loose while running the tractor the instant pressure that will develops if the pump picks up prime. Can you tell if the pump is mounted up on the engine and hydraulic lines going to it? The larger one of those which should be the suction, where it connects to the pump is where you should loosen. Then apply pressure to the resivoir. If you do this the engine should not be running. If you get oil to that point and quickly tighten the fitting would be your best chance. May be a two person job.
