Fifty years ago today, my wife and I were married.
Doesn't seem that long. Guess time flies when you're having fun.
We went out to a Texas Roadhouse this evening to have a steak to celebrate. Seemed like a long time for our order to come. Then an Assistant Manager appeared, said there was a mixup in the kitchen, our order was delayed, and there would be no charge. In conversation, my wife mentioned it was our 50th anniversary and the Asst. Mgr. congratulated us. Before we left, our waitress appeared and presented us with a $30 gift certificate, compliments of the Manager.
Guess there still are places that take customer service seriously.
