When a Deutz Head leaks they will have a "popping " sound when to rap the throttle. Most times the head next to the last from the front will leak the worst. This is the hottest running jug. The aluminum head can be relapped. You will need to turn them on a lathe if the torch marks are to deep. I always face them down to fit a fire ring if it is the old style without it. Fire rings come in different sizes to make up for the material you take off. Good luck,,, Al
