U.S. Army Drill and Ceremony Field Manual has always been quite clear about the flag of the United States, every citizen should know this section- FM 3-21.5(FM 22-5)and anyone who served will. I think its highly disrespectful to treat or handle the flag of the United States in a manner other than is stated in the field manual, and especially disrespectful of current and past members of all branches of the military. This is a matter of patriotism and somber meaning for some, for others it represents freedom, one should never disrespect either.
