1/2IN will weigh 20lbs sq ft so you are well over 200 lbs blade alone. 1/4IN with a brace of 1/4x2 angle two places would be strong enough for a SA. One piece at the bottom for cutting edge and another at the place where the pushing arms go. 2x2 11ga sq tube for pushers back to the final and you are in business. You need a bracket fastened to where the sq opening on steering sector with a pulley at the top then hook a cable to lift arms to raise. For chains on tires you could make out of car chains get wide ones. I made some for a Cub they work fine the tires are 8.3x24 but i would think there are car chains that would be wide enough for you tires.
