One question. How much lifting weight are the Super A capabilities? Wanting to make a snow blade of 1/2" steel 60" x 16" plus the accessories that go with the blade. Cheers, Murray

1/2IN will weigh 20lbs sq ft so you are well over 200 lbs blade alone. 1/4IN with a brace of 1/4x2 angle two places would be strong enough for a SA. One piece at the bottom for cutting edge and another at the place where the pushing arms go. 2x2 11ga sq tube for pushers back to the final and you are in business. You need a bracket fastened to where the sq opening on steering sector with a pulley at the top then hook a cable to lift arms to raise. For chains on tires you could make out of car chains get wide ones. I made some for a Cub they work fine the tires are 8.3x24 but i would think there are car chains that would be wide enough for you tires.

Why do you want such a heavy blade? If you are going to roll it so the snow will lift and roll you'll be plenty stiff with a much lighter piece of steel. 1/2" cutting edge, maybe.

1/2 is way thicker than necessary, I built a blade for our A out of a water heater tank, barely 1/8! And I used it to push some dirt at times, and it held up well. Ours was 6 feet wide and about 20 inches high, with about 4-5 inches of curvature. The glass lining stayed on the steel so the snow rolled off real nice. We lifted it with the spring assisted cultivator lift, worked good.

Agreed will go with 1/4" as I do have a couple that are 1/4". Next is to sort out the
design, want the blade under the center of the tractor. Cheers, Murray

I have a plow from a jeep or something on my A . The hydraulic pump works off the generator belt . The plow is some what heavy. .The problem is the front mounted plow takes alot of weight away from the rear wheels . I weighted the drawbar with barbell plates. But it does work great for snow.

My plow is somewhat heavy and is about 3/32s thick steel with angle braces on back . A 1/2 inch thick plow would lift the rear wheels of my A off the ground if it was front mount.
