Dad got a free one from a small town. I think he was full grown at that time. That was when he was only about 80. He had it for awhile, but decided a young crazy wild dog and an old man were not a good fit. He gave it away to someone else. His next dog was a golden lab mix. He thought he was a lap dog. He got friendly with a teenage neighbor girl and always went to visit a half mile away. Dad got tired of looking for him so he took him to the pound. I don't know why he didn't give it to the neighbor. If he quit feeding him, he would probably have quit coming home. Maybe they didn't want to feed him. Dad said no more dogs at the age of 86.
