previous owner probably did not want to pay $135.00 each for 6 ply turf tires. They do make an industrial 6 ply for loaders in that size for the same price as 6 ply turf tires. If you are going to use the tractor in the field get the loader tires, if it is for use in your yard you may want the turf tires but they are pretty helpless on side hills and ditch banks.
