Have used a device cslled a swather behind a sicklebar mower. Device consisted of a series of metal straps approximately an inch wide and six inch spacing, dragged behind sickle bar. Strips were differing lengths, tapering toward one side. Ends were bent upwards, and as hay fell on apparatus and was dragged backard it rolled toward the side snd kind of windrowed. Worked fairly well.
