This weekend I'll be driving my 1942 Farmall H pulling wagons full of visitors to one of our larger dairies in the county, about 800 cows. Even though we're rural county, there are still lots of people that don't know even the basics of farming. the annual open house that I've been privileged to be part of for the last 6 years is one way to educate about 500 every year so maybe some of them won't hold up that kind of sign. We, as farmers no matter how big or small our farms are have a responsibility to educate as much as we can to prevent this kind of uninformed behavior. I will make a pretty decent wager that neither one of those girls ever set foot on a modern dairy farm, or any other kind of farm for that matter.
