Mahindra uses the exhaust filters on 26 hp and above. If you want a new utility tractor above 25 hp, you are basically stuck with the exhaust filters. If you minimize idling, and actually work the tractor, and follow the owners manual and let the tractor regen the filter when it is supposed to,the filters will last 5000 plus hours. As more tractors are sold,I'm reasonably certain there will be an exchange program in place for the filters. One thing to bear in mind that cleanliness under the hood will be a must. The filters get very hot and any build up of seeds, chaff, grass will cause a fire. Checking for birds/mouse nests, dried grass will be a part of the daily startup procedure while you are checking the oil and coolant levels.
