I think there are only a couple of battery manufacturers out there. They just slap different names on them so basically no matter what you get your buying the same thing. I've had good luck and bad luck with Exide so who knows?? I'm sure there are bad batches made out there from time to time. I've found that keeping a maintainer on all of them definitely gives you a few more years of life then what they are expected too.The cheap little battery that came in a new riding mower I bought had a 2 year battery in it. I got 8 years out of it by maintaining it. And thats just one example.
