If it's winter I take one after feeding to warm up, etc. if I am in the tractor I take a 30 minute lunch and that's about it. I always go home to get away from the machine. I usually don't get started until 9:30 am by the time I grease whatever it is and find something broken that's critical to the mission. Unless I am field spraying, of course. I do that about 6 am usually and eat breakfast when I am done.
I'm not sure how things break just sitting in the shed. I've always said that the two things that should run around the clock are a baler and a combine. Just as soon as you shut them off for the day something breaks that keeps them from working for two hours at the start of the next day.
Dinner is always at dark. 9:30 or so this time of year.
