If I was going to use that regulator , I would hook all my load to the load terminal. Have no idea if you are hooking it up that way or not but that is the way that regulator is intended to be used. It was another one of Delco's ideas to get by with a combination voltage, current regulator off a single unit rather than go with the three unit regulator (which are much superior in my opinion) and carry a heavier accessory load.
