Baled up the second cutting of alfalfa today--six wagonloads, three unloaded into the overhead mow--by hand. Quit small baling at that and round-baled the rest. Very hot today, heat index around 100, but we did have a breeze. Finished putting the loaded wagons and the round bales under roof just before a rainstorm hit. Pretty lucky! Today has just about convinced me that this my 80th year should be my last one for square baling! I WAS helped by my little brother (73!)
