I owned a AC 185 diesel for all of six months. I absolutely hated that tractor. Poor transmission/shifting, NO live PTO Still had to use the "hand clutch" or Hi-Lo shifter for PTO work. SLOW enough on the road to make paint dry faster. I know your AC 175 has a better motor with the Perkins. Still I just did not care for the whole "feel" of the tractors. They did have a pretty trouble free PTO drive unit. I guess if I had never ran anything else they would have been fine.
The AC 175/185 have a good following as far as a tractor to buy and sell but I would not keep one. Different strokes for different people.
