Hi I saw your original post on this, we run one of those 688's, I was figuring then it was something went through. To twist one of those rolls like you first thought, would of wrecked something else or slipped the drive clutches i'm thinking as it would of been a tremendous amount of force when it stopped near dead. have you lost any large pieces from equipment in the last few years. Maybe you just found it or something somebody else lost years ago, or a very large rock or piece of wood hit just right to go through. I ve had some pretty loud bangs from rocks in ours, and had to stop and find them. Regards Robert
