Oh boy!..where do i start?
I can use the indoor toilet(that i picked out)No septic tank either(the sewage is running straight outta the pipe into the valley behind the house, go to the old outhouse that is still standing out in the trees or take a crap and a pee anywhere i feel like on my 1800 acres.
I still have a healthy supply of incandescent bulbs to last me many years.
Gas and diesel has been around forever and will be for some time to come.
All my tractors and vehicles but one are pre nineties and i don't have to worry about emission and EPA BS cause it does not exists in my area.
When i want to build something like i did my house and shop and barn i just build it to how and where i want and install electric and gas and hook it up to the grid and gas meter all without a permit. Water is coming out my own well and i burn my garbage in a home build burning barrel.
If i want to break some new land i fire up the cat and start pushing trees,..it is as simple as that, there's nobody that says i can't or need a permit.
I live out in the boonies 30 ml from town and no government or agency has yet bothered me here, i am free as a bird to do as i please. My land my rules :D
