Over the past five or six years I have bought quite a few items from Harbor Freight, mostly items that I use only once in a while, but when you need it, you don't want to have to try and borrow one type things. I have carried only one item back and that was an 18V rechargeable drill that wouldn't change the torque setting. The replacement works great, the sawzall works like a charm, the cherry picker and load lever worked great recently when my son-in-law had to change engines in his car. I said all that to say this, if I needed an electric chain saw, I would not hesitate to try one from HF. Plus, as has been said, if you spend a few dollars and purchase the extended warranty, you are home free.
