:Planted no till most of last 30 yrs ,,and will not give it up. the expense for chemicals nearly out weighs the tillage fuel ,,not to mention , time and wear and tear .../however,, last yr , and this yr , I have workt my ground ,, chisled everthing last yr , except for 10 acres beans no tillt after pullin out of crp..this yr chiseld all corn ground and disced the bean ground a good 4 inches deep, had the best crop ever last yr . except for the no til,,.this yr I have near perfect stands everywhere ,, been sorta dry , roots went down for water in the loose dirt ,and looks terrific ,neighbor always no tils and always has good lookin crops too .. don't know how hard his ground was from all thespring rains,, but mine was HARD...
