So I bought this tractor off man in middle Tennessee area said he got it from man in Anderson tenn back in 2000? Said that guy told him that the tractor had been rebuilt and everything worked on etc. true or false I just don't know. I've looked at everything and seems to be clean I've checked oil level and oil seems to be good shape. Now that being said ....... Which is a good way to go? Non-detergent oil or regular detergent type? I've had my tractor buddy's here tell me " use non -detergent type" but I've also talk to guy I know up the road that had 2 John Deere b's, he said he ran the new holland brand master gold 10w-30 oil in both his for some time. I just don't want to get into re-placing filter after filter etc. ha ? So non or detergent ?
