I don't begrudge the auto industry anything the received from the government in the US or Canada. They are the ones giving the employment to many people themselves as well as the all the North American suppliers. I begrudge every penny that went to the banks and money companies that caused the crisis. A lot of the people there should have been hung if not drawn and quartered or I guess more realistically jailed for life to protect the rest of us. But they got away with it and people complain about the auto industry? Blame the culprits, not the victims. It would have hurt a lot more if the auto industry went down.
