Original alternator is likely Delco 10SI with #2 pin down to charge output and #1 exciter wire to switched ignition at coil input.
Go to left column "Tractor Parts" and look at alternator this site shows for Farmall H. Picture and description indicate it is not a Delco alternator and picture does not look like a Hitachi commonly used on H and M.
Picture of new alternator, especially rear connections, will be a big help.
