Yeah if this job wasn't a 70 mile round trip it would be a little easier on me. All it takes is one problem and I am out a half days work and more miles...fortunately no problems so far. Parts of the field are fairly smooth, but they are the dirtiest and it seems the chaff cloud likes to follow me as soon as the dew is off. Very dry here this year, could use some rain. I have those tough jobs also, mowing an apple orchard is the worst as those branches don't give a bit...then I have the rocky mountain side where I am in first gear and have to go downhill only because I can't raise the mower going uphill (front end comes up instead).
I encountered a few rocks in this field where the utilities had been trenched in years ago, and a few here and there hiding in the grass. Only hit one so far and it was a little one. Here's a big one I wasn't told about....but they aren't the ones that gitcha
