Went to start the year old rider last weekend and no go...
Took another look today as the yard is almost a foot high now. Kohler Courage 22 HP Single cylinder engine. Mice chewed/severed the spark plug wire. Looking at a parts site it appears that a separate wire is not available as it is an integral part of the ignition module. That's OK and I will order that part if that is what it takes, just wondering if it is possible to cobble up a short term splice and have it work for a few hours so I can get the yard mowed. Would seem simple enough to splice some copper for the wire itself, but what would it take for insulation? Maybe there is more to it, but seems like I should be able to make this go. Thinking a little more I have some spark plug wire left over from a 9N project, Can I splice it in and just wrap it with electrical tape.
