The suspension on the F150 will handle the little gooseneck fine - I'm not a big fan of the NA 3.7 pulling heavy loads though. I know its rated much higher HP than the old 302 push rod engines and most of the 4.6 V8 tritons but we've had a few and got nothing but complaints when they were used for any type of towing. After trying a few of them we went to all 5.0 V8s in the newer Fords. That is after years of using the Chevy 4.3 in our fleet trucks.
