SS likely won't be there, at least in it's present form when I get to 65 or 70. Fine, don't give it to me. But stop taking everyones money to pay for it. Same with lots of other things. Get on your local gov't in elected office and see just how hamstrung the towns are when it comes to paying for things. See how regulations make it impossible for small towns to have things like fire companies or to save money by hiring part time workers (20 hours a MONTH is considered "full time" here). The system needs a bottom up overhaul. It will come too, but lm afraid it will come with a lot of pain.
