All simple hydraulic jacks can be fixed if enough time and effort is put into it. They have two check valves and a bypass valve that lets it down. The first check valve lets the piston rod suck in oil. The second lets compressed oil into the lift cylinder, and keeps it in while lifted. Remember that your time is worth money and at some point the jack becomes a money pit. Jim
