Think I'm about the first to start fieldwork in these parts.
Had a field that last year was used for septage disposal, and was disked regularly. (Can you say rough? uneven? ) Got out on it with a 16 foot field cultivator and made two passes, diagonally. Think one more pass east/west, and it'll be level and smooth enough to pick rocks and drill oats/alfalfa. Was pretty wet on top when I started, we had 2 inches of rain last week. But a good breeze, and a sunny afternoon took a lot of the wet out. Supposed to rain tonite. Can't win.
