sounds like the great Martinsburg WV Library robbery. Bunch from Wash. D.C. decided they were far enough from home to rob a bank, jump on the Interstate & home by 5p.m. to watch the news. Let off part of the gang in the center of town & told'em to rob the brick bank on the corner. Let'em off catty-cornered to the real bank so they went into the Library & commenced to rob it, apparently ignoring all the books around. People back in the stacks saw it & phoned police, who quickly rounded up the gang.
