I had a 4 roller Hydro brand roller pump, which goes on my PTO shaft, and pumps the spray dope, on my 55 gallon sprayer. I have been using it, for8 years, and just empty the barrel, in the fall, to protect from freezing. I put it on yesterday, and the pump was froze up, and wouldn't spin. I opened up the pump, and found it terribly corroded, with black rust, and I doubt that I will ever be able to clean it up. I have a new pump on order, and may get it next week. I guess roundup is bad for pumps, if let set in them. Should I take the hoses off for the winter, and fill the new pump with motor oil, till spring?, or will the oil deterate the blue rollers in the pump? The rollers seem to be made out of nylon, or something non metal. How do you guys maintain your roller pumps?

After a few paragraphs I usually close the book and go back to banging out dents. A good friend and I were recently discussing our tractor electrical systems when he stated "I figure it all comes back to applying Ohms Law". At this point
