I s'pose its whatever a person gets used to.... if I want to reply to a specific person I would either type his/her name or use the quote button in their post, but use a general reply button to reply to everyone reading the thread, here at YT there doesnt appear to be a general reply button in the modern view so I use the button in the last post.... doesnt mean Im directing my reply to anyone specific... its just easier than finding a post from the OP.... if that makes any sense at all.
What you call classic reminds me of DOS script from the 80s, didnt like it then, dont like it now.... what you call modern view is what most other forums have used for over 20 years and is pretty much considered the norm now... YT is like a time capsule... antique forum for antique tractors I s'pose.... but it might be detering alot of people from being more active. I took a few minutes to attempt to explain my thoughts... but many probably dont.
