I would look into liquid or urea as both can have stabilizers added to minimize movement in the soil. Urea is handy as it can be applied with a broadcast spreader. Guys apply ammonia here on sandy ground before the corn is planted. Have your fertilizer guy run the numbers and then you can figure if you want to go on cost alone. Ammonia is not leap and bounds cheaper than the other N sources unlike years ago. We always figured ammonia was hard on soil OM content plus I did not like working with the stuff.
