I was going to use 80w90 gear oil....but the owmer of our local napa store...said 80w90 has additives that could damage seals and metals in gearbox. I know the fluid was changed a long time ago (at least 15 years) and should be done again. This has been a very good tractor for us since new in 1966....6000 hrs,and never been apart..z145 engine,just keeps going.
