Last week I posted about a friend of mine whose new Ford fusion was stolen from a parking lot that was in eyesight of his table in the restaurant. It was at a relatively new, popular micro-brewery near downtown Detroit.
They found his car a few blocks away minus the wheels and a few scratches on the bumper where they evidently pushed it. A couple of days after it was stolen, 2 listings on eBay popped up in the area with ads for wheels JUST LIKE HIS! Imagine that.
Well, yesterday 2 Fed cars were stolen from the SAME LOT with laptops, etc. They got the dogs out, helicopters and are "processing the cars for evidence". Oops, guess the thieves should have stuck to targeting just good ole US citizen's cars. The cops were there in "seconds". I guess it's a regular occurrence at this place. Evidently the "increased patrols" didn't do any good.
