My grandparents took in an elderly man when I was little. His live in caretaker was holding his meds and generally trying to hasten his demise once she conned him into writing his will to give her everything. She had several houses she gained ownership of that way. Mom and dad bought Tom's house off her son after Tom passed. She had died of a massive heart attack. Her son just said she finally got hers.
